BSCM offers consulting services to publishers, studios, and other firms looking to gain insight into the publishing industry or who want project specific recommendations on projects in the graphic novel and manga space. BSCM provides in-depth analysis, feedback, and next steps on both ongoing programs or individual projects. Please note that this service is not intended for individual creators looking for feedback on queries or pitch packages.
Non-client Contract Review
BSCM understands that many new creators may find themselves offered a Publishing or Creator Agreement from a publisher or online platform that they do not fully understand, leaving them unsure how to proceed and what to negotiate. Such contracts can affect much more than the project they’re intended for and have lasting effects on a creator’s career. Finding the right professional to assist can be daunting and time consuming, and not every creator is ready to sign with an agent. This service is intended as an accessible way for creators to have their contracts reviewed without committing to signing with an agent. BSCM will provide creators with the opportunity to ask questions and gain an in-depth understanding of the contract being offered to them, as well as the option to have BSCM assist in contract negotiations.
